Urban Gym Group (UGG) continues its strategic growth trajectory in 2025, with multiple new club openings and acquisitions across the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Announcement | May 27, 2025 | 5 minutes
In the Netherlands, two new TrainMore clubs have recently opened in Amsterdam Sloterdijk and Rotterdam Middellandstraat. These locations are equipped with state-of-the-art training facilities and reflect the brand’s focus on experience, community, and performance-driven design. UGG has also acquired  Health Spa Fitness & Wellness in The Hague, the fourth-largest city in the Netherlands. This acquisition strengthens the presence in a key urban market and supports the ambition to further expand into other major Dutch cities. UGG remains open to new acquisition opportunities that align with the vision for high-quality, community-focused fitness experiences. In addition, UGG has acquired two  My Local Gym Group locations in Leusden and Bilthoven, both situated in municipalities surrounding larger urban centres. These clubs offer strong local member communities and reinforce the ability to scale effectively beyond the core cities.  In the United Kingdom, the group is reinforcing its market position with the upcoming launch of a new Gymbox location in Finsbury Park, London, set to open on 16 June. These acquisitions and openings demonstrate the flexibility in approach to working with independent and larger operators and landlords looking for succession or brand partnership. Neil Randall, CEO of Urban Gym Group, commented:  "It has been a strong start to the year. We continue to secure high-potential properties while attracting entrepreneurs and established brands who see value in joining our group. This confirms our long-term focus: building distinctive fitness concepts with strong brand identity and local relevance." UGG is expected to announce additional club openings and acquisitions in the second half of 2025 as it continues its growth, with a particular focus on London and further international major cities.
