TrainMore introduces new women-dedicated strength training zones in Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht

Announcement | June 10, 2024 | 5 minutes
Amsterdam - June 10th, 2024. TrainMore, part of Urban Gym Group, announces the opening of dedicated women’s zone Gaia in several of their gyms. Gaia is designed to empower and uplift women throughout their strength-training journey.Neil Randall, CEO of Urban Gym Group: "We have always been committed to redefining our members' workout experiences. It's become evident from recent studies that women appreciate having a supportive environment where they can exercise together without feeling judged or receiving unwarranted comments.Neil emphasizes: "At Gaia, we tailor our offerings to meet the specific needs of female members. This includes offering ample space for squats, deadlifts, and bench presses, as well as the support of trainers who understand the benefits of strength training for both physical and mental well-being. Also, we will provide educational content and guidance on fitness and well being products to take in conjunction with training.”The first Gaia zones will launch end of June at TrainMore Utrecht Stationsplein, Amsterdam Oost and The Hague. Neil: “It is a trial. We will measure if the Gaia zones enable our current and new female members to experience better workouts. If so, we will roll out in other clubs where there is enough room to create a Gaia zone. Having enough room to place extra equipment is essential to not impact the overall experience for all our members.” About Urban Gym GroupUrban Gym Group, with over 40 clubs and studios in major cities across the Netherlands, stands out as a pioneer in the European wellness and fitness industry.
